In Akkineni’s family, Akhil is yet to taste his box-office success as none of his three films succeeded much at the box-office. ‘Hello’ received some positive reports but failed to bring the numbers that can change the Akhil’s fate.
His first film ‘Akhil’, directed by V.V. Vinayak was an utter disaster and Nagarjuna stood beside his son and said that ‘Hello’ movie is to relaunch Akhil. His latest, ‘Majnu’ under performed at the box office and left Nagarjuna with many unanswered questions.
Now, Akhil is pinning his hopes on his fourth film which will be helmed by Bommarillu Bhaskar for Allu Aravind’s banner Geetha Arts. A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that Nagarjuna will be chipping in some money to make the film look grand. Initially, it was said that the film will be made on a budget of Rs 20 crore.
But it seems like Nagarjuna is not that much interested in this movie and hasn’t invested a penny in the project. Sources close to Geetha Arts say that the producers have cut down the budget so that Akhil will have his film on a profit-sharing basis.
Bommarilu Bhaskar’s name is about to fade away from the industry and Geetha Arts took this movie upon their shoulders to give a break for both the hero and the director.
