Kohli fined for wasting water

Indian skipper Virat Kohli  has been fined by the Gurgaon Nagar Nigam (GNN) on Wednesday. They issued a challan of Rs 500 at his home in DLF Phase 1 for overusing and wasting water while washing the car.

The challan has been issued on address C-1/10 in the name of domestic helper Deepak.

Kohli’s neighbours also argued that a lot of water, a thousand litres to be precise, is wasted in washing more than a dozen cars that are parked outside the house.

Aman Phogat, junior engineer of GNN, said around 10 more challans have been issued over wastage of water.

Virat Kohli and his boys will be upbeat after having beaten South Africa with conviction at their campaign opener on Wednesday, June 5, in the run-up to the match in London.

Rohit Sharma hit a century after the brilliant bowling displays by Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal, defeating the Proteas by six wickets.

India will continue its good form against Australia, defending champions who, after two matches, are still unbeaten. They beat the West Indies 15 runs on Thursday in their previous match.
