Nation-wide outrage over brutal murder of 2.5-year-old girl in Aligarh

The body of a 2.5-year-old girl, who went missing on May 30 was found after stray dogs pulled out body parts from a garbage dump. The girl from UP’s Aligarh was killed by neighbours who had a loan dispute with her grandfather. The neighbours took a loan of ₹10,000 from the girl’s grandfather, however, they later denied taking the amount.

The Aligarh Police has said the 2.5-year-old girl, whose body was found in a garbage dump, was murdered due to an altercation over money between her father and the accused. According to the post mortem report, rape has not been confirmed till now. The police further said National Security Act has been imposed on the two arrested.

The UP police have formed a Special Investigation Team and suspended 5 policemen after a 2.5-year-old girl was brutally murdered in Aligarh. Two men, Zahid and Aslam, were arrested for killing the child, whose body was found in a garbage dump near her house three days after she went missing. 

After two people were arrested for the murder of a two-year-old girl in Aligarh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi asked UP police to “bring the killers to justice”. Stating that he was shocked and disturbed by the murder, Rahul tweeted, “How can any human being treat a child with such brutality? This terrible crime must not go unpunished.”

Meanwhile, the celebrities along with the twitteratis erupts after this horrific incident. Condemning the brutal murder of a 2.5-year-old girl in UP’s Aligarh, Sonam Kapoor tweeted, “What has happened…is heartbreaking and horrific.” “This is definitely not the kind of world we want for our children,” Akshay Kumar wrote. “An innocent child becomes the victim of such a heinous act. The perpetrators must be punished! Justice has to be served,” Bhumi Pednekar tweeted.
