I wanted to commit suicide after defeat against India : Pakistan Coach

Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has said he wanted to commit suicide after his team’s humiliating defeat to India in 2019 World Cup on June 16. Arthur has been under the scanner since Pakistan’s defeat to India.

There was a lot of criticism on the Pakistan players and the Coach after they lost to India. Most recently, a fan asked Sarfraz in a public place why his body is as fat as Pig. This incident was happened in front of Sarfraz’s son.

“The guys were incredibly hurt by media, by public, by social media. The guys didn’t sleep much,” Arthur said. “It’s a World Cup. Media scrutiny, public expectations and then you almost go into survival mode,” he further said.

Pakistan have been in a pressure-cooker situation for some months now, winning only two out of their last 17 matches. Each win that the team gathers from here on gives that much relief for the under-pressure Arthur and their win against South Africa is one among them.

Even in yesterday’s post match conference, a media person agitated Arthur questioning the fitness levels of Pakistan players eve after they won clinically against the Proteas. He said that Haris Sohail was seen tired who arrived to crease in the 30th over. Arthur was spell bound with that question as Harris scored a brilliant 59 ball 89 to hand over Pakistan a big total.
